Language Report discusses the realisation of linguistic rights

In its Plenary Session today, on 9 December, the Government decided to submit the Government Report on the Application of Linguistic Rights to Parliament. The Language Report, compiled during each electoral term, contains up-to-date information on the situation in Finland in terms of languages, structures supporting linguistic rights and the impact of administrative changes on language groups.

The Ministry of Justice has made new operational commitments to sustainable development. The Ministry of Justice is committed to combating trafficking in human beings, strengthening the rule of law in international cooperation, using research data that takes better account of different population groups, and reducing the carbon footprint of its administrative branch.
The monitoring of fundamental and human rights to be improved with indicators

Yesterday, the Government confirmed its resolution on the contents of the third national fundamental and human rights action plan. The action plan includes indicators for fundamental and human rights, which can be used to produce systematic data on how these rights are realised in the everyday lives of people.
