Preparing for coronavirus in the administrative branch of the Ministry of Justice

The Ministry of Justice and the agencies in its administrative branch monitor the coronavirus situation closely and follow the guidelines to prevent the spread of the virus.

At the moment, the primary modes of contacting the judicial authorities are the telephone, email and electronic services. Agencies in the Ministry’s administrative branch keep informing the public about current issues in their areas of responsibility and about preparedness in their respective sectors.

Courts may have to postpone hearings and cancel some already scheduled hearings. These changes in the operating environment may unfortunately lengthen the duration of consideration.

The courts will inform the public about any changes in their activities on their websites. Persons summoned to a hearing will be personally informed of any cancellations and changes to the hearing.

If you cannot arrive at a trial due to illness, please contact the contact person mentioned in the summons immediately by telephone or email.

The enforcement service continues to serve its clients normally. Most enforcement matters can already be dealt with in the e-services.
