New easy-to-understand videos on voting published
The Ministry of Justice has published new videos instructing how to vote in elections in easy-to-understand language on its YouTube channel. There are two different videos: one instructing how to vote in advance and the other instructing how to vote on election day. The videos are available in Finnish, Swedish and English.
The instructions have been drawn up in cooperation with the Finnish Centre for Easy to Read (Selkokeskus), and their contents, vocabulary and structure have been modified so that they are easier to understand than instructions in standard language.
The parliamentary elections will be held on Sunday 14 April 2019. The advance voting period is in Finland from 3 to 9 April and abroad from 3 to 6 April 2019.
