Confirmed results of the presidential election now available online

Recount of the votes cast in the 2024 election of the President of the Republic has been completed. Alexander Stubb was elected the 13th President of the Republic.

According to the election results confirmed by the constituency electoral committee of Helsinki, Alexander Stubb representing the National Coalition Party received 51.6 per cent of the votes and Pekka Haavisto representing a constituency association received 48.4 per cent of the votes cast in the second round of the election. 

The Government will announce the final election results at its plenary session on Thursday 15 February. After this, the Government will inform the elected candidate of the results in writing and issue a public notice of the results to be published in the Statute Book of Finland. The term of office of the new President of the Republic will begin at the beginning of March.
