New Oikeus.fi judicial website has opened

The judicial website Oikeus.fi has been redesigned and the new website opened on 20 March 2025. The website contains basic information on important, everyday legal matters and links to the websites and e-services of various judicial authorities.
The new Oikeus.fi website provides basic information on the following themes, produced in cooperation with experts in the administrative branch of the Ministry of Justice:
- family matters
- payment difficulties and debts
- civil cases and petitionary matters
- criminal cases
- penalties
- appeals.
The website also contains links to the websites of authorities and agencies in the Ministry's administrative branch, each providing further information on these themes. Press releases published by authorities and agencies in the administrative branch and the latest court decisions are also available on the website.
The new website is easier to use and fully accessible. Particular attention has been paid to its usability on mobile devices. The website also has a new visual look.
Oikeus.fi also includes an extensive ‘Work in the legal field’ section providing versatile information about work opportunities in the various organisations in the administrative branch of the Ministry of Justice (in Finnish and Swedish). The section includes employee stories, information for students and a compilation of vacancies in the judicial field. You can also test which legal profession would best suit you.
The website is completely bilingual with all contents available in Finnish and Swedish. The key contents are also available in English.
The work to develop the Oikeus.fi website will continue. The next step is to improve the findability of e-services. The aim is to make it easier for citizens to find and access electronic service channels related to the different themes.
The Oikeus.fi website is maintained by the Ministry of Justice. The contents are produced in cooperation with agencies in the Ministry's administrative branch.
