DINO II – Democracy and human rights education and participation of young people

Goals and results

The aim of the coordination group is to bring together and coordinate the measures outlined by the Government to promote democracy and human rights education and the participation of young people and to reinforce the obligation to consult young people. The goal is to improve the flow of information and networking between different actors and to help find synergies between different projects and measures.

The task of the coordination group is to monitor and support the planning and implementation of measures that aim to strengthen democracy and human rights education and the participation and consultation of young people, as outlined in the National Democracy Programme, the National Youth Work and Youth Policy Programme (VANUPO) and in other government-level programmes and strategies. The coordination group is also tasked with ensuring the flow of information on these themes between different actors.

The coordination group collaborates with other projects promoting the same themes. The coordination group will report on the progress of the measures to the preparation and coordination group of the National Democracy Programme, led by the Ministry of Justice, and to the VANUPO working group consisting of public officials and led by the Ministry of Education and Culture.

Summary

One of the objectives set out in the Government Programme is to promote democracy and human rights education and the participation of young people and to reinforce the obligation to consult young people. The task of the coordination group is to monitor and support the planning and implementation of the measures.
