Valtioneuvosto laati laajan toimenpideohjelman (OM 2024:13), jolla ehkäistään ja torjutaan nuoriso- ja jengirikollisuuden lisääntymistä Suomessa. Valtioneuvosto teki toimenpideohjelmasta periaatepäätöksen 25.4.2024. Toimenpideohjelman toimeenpano ja seuranta on käynnistynyt.

Esitysluonnos on osa hallitusohjelman kokonaisuutta, jolla pyritään poistamaan viranomaisten tietojenvaihdon esteitä ja siten tehostamaan rikosten ehkäisyä.

9.5.2025 | Oikeusministeriön tänään julkaisema kriminaalipoliittinen toimenpideohjelma täydentää hallituksen kriminaalipoliittista linjaa. Ohjelmassa läpikäydään tämänhetkistä tilannekuvaa ja hallituksen toimia kriminaalipolitiikan osalta. Tällä hallituskaudella pyritään vielä mm. tehostamaan petosrikollisuuden ehkäisyä ja selvittämään ulkomaalaisten vankien siirron ja maasta poistamisen edellytyksiä sekä räjähderikosten sääntelyä.

22.5.2025 | Hallitus esittää muutoksia vankeus- ja tutkintavankeuslakiin. Tärkeimmät muutokset koskevat vangin sijoitusta avolaitokseen ja varmuusosastolle. Muutosten tavoitteena on parantaa vankilaturvallisuutta ja torjua järjestäytynyttä rikollisuutta hallitusohjelman mukaisesti.

18.2.2025 | Oikeusministeriö on asettanut työryhmän, jonka tehtävänä on arvioida pakkokeinolain muutostarpeet ja valmistella tarvittavat lakimuutokset. Hanke toteuttaa hallitusohjelman tavoitteita muun muassa järjestäytyneen rikollisuuden torjumiseksi.
