Hallitusohjelma Vahva ja välittävä Suomi linjaa kansalaisjärjestöstrategian ja sen toimeenpanosuunnitelman valmistelemisesta. Strategia hyväksyttiin valtioneuvoston periaatepäätöksenä kesäkuussa 2024, ja toimeenpano etenee suunnitelman mukaisesti säädöshankkeina, selvityksinä ja muina kehittämistoimina. Toimeenpano jatkuu huhtikuuhun 2027 asti.
