Minister of Justice Leena Luhtanen in the European Parliament
This week the Finnish Minister of Justice Ms Leena Luhtanen presents the priorities of the Finnish EU Presidency to Members of the European Parliament.
On Wednesday 12 July 2006, Minister Luhtanen speaks before the Committee on Legal Affairs (JURI), and on Thursday 13 July, together with Minister of the Interior Mr Kari Rajamäki, before the Committee on Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs (LIBE).
- Citizens’ confidence is not an advantage gained once and for all, but it has to be retained over and over again. Cooperation with the European Parliament is of outmost importance particularly in my field of responsibility that is directly concerned with the fundamental interests of each citizen, Minister of Justice Leena Luhtanen states.
